A Purpose for Life Foundation has been set up to be a host for projects which create more awareness between people and their environment. We invite people who have their own project which has a purpose to do the same, to contact us to see if we can work together. Our projects are listed on this page.

Nomadslife Project 2008

025-talbooash

Our first project was The Nomadslife Journey, with the purpose of visiting Nomadic tribes to film their way of living. It is the oldest and most original way of living, in harmony with nature and we need their wisdom to learn from. A team of four people travelled more than 20.000 km to Siberia and Mongolia and their experiences can be read and seen on the following website: www.nomadslife.tv

The Return of the Ancestors Gathering  in North Arizona in April of 2009 was our second project. Manon Tromp was present during a very special coming together of Native American and South American tribal elders, who were there because of Mayan Prophecies and to raise the awareness for the Earth. Manon has kept a blog, which can be read on this website. She also wrote articles articles which were published in the following magazines:

Substantial Films together with A Purpose For Life Foundation is currently putting a documentary together that will investigate the male perception of women and find out how that effects our collective reality. Tom Sands, founder of Substantial Films and winner of the End of The Pier Under 19 film-maker of the year 2009 and the Kent Film Festival 2009 and Ramsay S James, Chairman of A Purpose For Life Foundation and Nomadslife Project are the producers of this film. Tom’s films can be viewed at vimeo.com/tomsands or vimeo.com/substantialfilms

In the first of the two-part series, we will explore Men’s attitudes to Women across the board. We want to find out how these perceptions develop and change with age, class, religion, culture, occupation and sexuality. Starting with teenage schoolboys and ending with OAPs, we want to plot the differences of opinion, thoughts and feelings – or the similarities. In the second part of this series we will flip the coin and explore the female attitudes towards men.

We will seek the counsel of psychologists, body language experts and relationship councillors about the best way to get to the the truth. From the globally mixed range of people in the general public that will be questioned, we will utilise their suggestions in our interviews. Once we have conducted all the interviews, we will seek their opinion again on the legitimacy of the answers that we have collected. How much of the clichéd Male attitude to Women is not the complete and harsh truth it claims to be but a lazy form of projection and a defence against society? How much of the religious view is not a spiritually transcendent and healing take on the female but a schism from grounded sexuality?  To what extent do men now see women as equal, regardless of what the law tells them to see? Is this striving movement towards gender recognition now outdated ? Do Men actually know how to invite a woman to be a woman regardless of either genders sexuality ?

Ramsay and Tom are setting off on a global trip to different cultures in search of answers to these questions…
